I bought this book as a level one adult piano student who wants to play sacred music (hymns).This book does not disappoint.It was structured to the Alfreds Basic Adult Piano Course Level One and follows that book exactly.Each song tells you where you need to be in the Basic Course Book in order to play the song.With this knowledge you can even try to challenge your ability by going a little further in the book than you are in the course, and then seeing where you stack up in your lesson.

The music in the book is very satisfying to play.The arrangements are simple but beautiful.Right away after only a few piano lessons you can play some of your favorite hymns.The songs are easy but not too easy and they sound very professional when you play them.
