Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, Op. 46 (Kalmus Edition) [Paperback] Review

This duet suite consists of four pieces from Grieg's Peer Gynt incidental music.While four hands on a piano are no match for a full size symphonic ensemble, these pieces are very well arranged, in general, and capture most of the harmonic structure inherent in the symphonic version.

Unlike many duets, however, both players need to be rather advanced to be capable of playing these parts at the prescribed tempi and recommended dynamics; my partner is unfortunately unable to play either Primo or Secondo for 3 of the 4 pieces without significant editing.
