Casio CS-65 Privia Keyboard Stand for Casio PX-110, PX-120, PX-310 and PX-320 Review

Casio CS-65 Privia Keyboard Stand for Casio PX-110, PX-120, PX-310 and PX-320I picked up a Casio PX-200 a few months ago but found myself not using it as much because I did not have a stand which was secure enough to hold the piano in place. The original plan was to use a small table but that idea went out the window once I received my Casio PX-200 and realized how wide the piano was.So I decided I should purchase a stand.I first decided I would purchase an X style stand but my wife and I have an infant who likes to touch everything in the house and knock things over so I was worried this would not be safe for my child.I did not want to pay so much money for a stand but in the end, I decided better safe than sorry so I saved up money and finally picked up the Casio CS-65 stand.Boy and I sure glad I did.

My Casio PX-200 has two covers on each side which comes off easily by simply removing a couple of screws on each side and pull off the covers.Once you do this, you simply then mount it the each side of the stand and put the screws back on so that it secure. The instructions were easy to follow. After I finished putting the stand together, I brought my son into the office and we let him go at it.He could not knock it down.It was pretty secure, even with him leaning against it.He enjoys playing the piano all the time now.My digital piano looks great with this stand and I am not worried about my son getting hurt.

Pros:
-Secure
-Makes the digital keyboard look fancyCons:
-Since the piano is screwed to each side of the stands, this means your digital piano is no longer portable. If you plan on travling with your digital piano, this is not the stand for you.
-Much more expensive than an X stand

Overall, I would highly recommend this if you have a compatible digital piano from Casio.I wish Casio did not charge so much for this stand but I don't regret my purchase at call.

Yamaha L85 Keyboard Stand for Yamaha P85 Piano (88-Key) Review

Yamaha L85 Keyboard Stand for Yamaha P85 PianoThe instructions are pictorial so no room for confusion. You need some space for the assembly as the pieces are long, but it was all quite straightforward. And it looked short when done but the keyboard sits about on top of it, with screws to hold it in. My son remarked that it was an improvement over the x-stand previously used, this sits solidly and doesn't wobble as the other did.

I would recommend getting the stand if you have the P85, it does support it better and also looks kind of like a piano. I also got the three pedals, (LP-5), which fit across the bottom of this stand and also helps it feel/sound more like a piano.

Tip: I have seen these three (Digital piano, stand, pedals) offered together as a bundle on some sites.

NEW KEYBOARD STAND - 58 HEAVY DUTY "Z" TYPE PIANO BENCH Review

NEW KEYBOARD STAND - 58 HEAVY DUTY 'Z' TYPE PIANO BENCHLet's face it, all of those X-style stands are convenient and quick for keyboard players, but they just don't look very cool once they've been set up. The Z stand is closer to the right idea, even though you'll notice the seller seems a bit confused about the difference between a "stand" and a "bench." Nevertheless, I trusted the picture, and indeed it is a stand--moreover a Z-style stand at an X-style price. The problem with this one, from what I've been able to determine (there wasn't a scrap of instructions or even a diagram included in the box, and two crucial rubber pieces immediately came unglued) is the words "heavy duty," especially if yours is a keyboard costing more than five hundred dollars and weighing more than 40 pounds.I can't for a moment conceive of anyone foolish enough to entrust a Roland RD700 or Kurzweil PC3 to this thin and wobbly piece of metal. If you decide to order it, take that "heavy duty" description with the same degree of seriousness as the "piano bench" description.

The stand could possibly see some use with a lightweight Yamaha or Casio keyboard (one of the models without weighted action), though you'd still probably be better advised to check in with a reputable dealer like Sweetwater, explaining the keyboard you plan to use with the stand along with the frequency of use.(This thing is not built to survive weekly travels in the band van, let alone rough roadhouse use.)

Yamaha PKBB1 Single Braced Adjustable X-Style Keyboard Bench Review

Yamaha PKBB1 Single Braced Adjustable X-Style Keyboard BenchFirst of all, the PKBB1MM is the same model as the PKBB1. In fact, the box for this bench leaves off the MM suffix. So, it would seem that the same bench is being sold twice on Amazon, for two different prices. Go for whichever is cheaper.

Now, as far as the bench goes, it's not bad, especially for the price. Raising and lowering could be easier--as is, it involves unscrewing a knob, pulling out a bolt, holding a bunch of washers in place, and screwing the knob back into the bolt at the desired height. Not as horrible as it sounds, but could be annoying if you're taking this bench to a gig. If you're using it in your home, however, you'll probably just leave it in one position anyway.

The other downfall of this bench is that its highest setting is not all that high. I'm six feet tall, have a digital piano with the keys positioned at exactly the height of a regular grand piano, and honestly, the bench makes me feel a little short. Two or three inches more height would be perfect.

The upsides are: 1) the cushion is quite comfortable, even for extended playing; it feels almost like visco-elastic foam. 2) The bench is reasonably sturdy and well-built, considering the small size and the low cost.

Overall, I'd recommend this bench for home use, but only because it is dramatically cheaper than anything else in its class.
