Missing a few goodies, but otherwise these transcriptions get the job done.Unlike other pop keyboard transcriptions these do not try to include the vocal line as part of the arrangement making them more authentic to the original recorded versions, however, "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love" ain't no keyboard song.Would have preferred "Feels So Good".

Jim Brickman / Piano Anthology (New Age) [Paperback] Review

I think we've all experienced the disappointment of buying a book or CD for a song we love only to find the rest of its contents only mediocre.Playing through this book is quite the antithesis to that kind of emotion.With every turn of the page, there is a beautiful heartfelt tune captured from one of several of Jim Brickman's collections, including 6 arrangements of some old favorite lullabies.This special edition is worth every penny.A gold-mine find!

Korg SP170BK 88-key Digital Slab Piano With Speakers Black Review

I debated between this, the SP250, Yamaha P85, and the Casio PX-130/330. After trying the Casios and not liking to sound of them, and deciding that the SP250 was a bit expensive and heavy, I had a hard time deciding between the SP170 and P85. Both are excellent and have similar features. The SP170 is a little cheaper and looks a bit sleaker. The P85 has a couple extra functions (like layering and a metronome). I chose the SP170 and have been very happy with my decision. All 10 voices sound great, the speakers are plenty loud, and the keys feel very good, like a real piano. I bought mine online in a "bundle" and am very satisfied with all components.

There are no buttons on the keyboard (just a volume and on/off switch on the back). I was worried that changes voices would be a pain, and while it is slightly awkward, it really is not a big deal. I just wish there was a way to tell if reverb and chorus were on or off.

An excellent digital piano for the price!

Disney Mega-Hit Movies: 38 Contemporary Classics from The Little Mermaid to High School Musical 2 (Easy Piano Songbook) [Paperback] Review

As advertised this volume contains songs from the more recent Disney movies though "Lilo and Stitch" which was released in 2002 is the newest.I really liked the arrangements from "Aladdin" "Lion King" "Beauty and the Beast" "Hunchback" and "Toy Story".The rest of the songsdidn't seem to be as melodic perhaps because I'm not very familiar with the songs and movies where they originated.Full lyrics are included as well as musical introductions and transitions. Some selections are as long as sixteen pages though most range from six - ten pages. The pieces are pretty easy to play though some songs venture out of the keys of C and F where most beginners are most comfortable.All in all a good collection.

Alfred's Basic Adult Course, Christmas Piano Book 1 (Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course) [Paperback] Review

Great selection of music, and not hard! I bought it particularly for "Oh Come All Ye Faithful", which is my favorite tune ever. I've also learned "We Wish You a Merry Christmas", and now am trying "Silent Night".

It is really motivating me to practice piano more now that I have music I like. I stopped on page 57 of "Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course, Level One", because I listened to the songs ahead of me and didn't like any... Now I'll probably keep going with this book of Christmas songs.

Note that it does not have a CD, but I think the tunes are familiar enough that you'll be able to tell if you play something wrong.

ABC Keyboard Stickers Review

I bought these for my daughter's keyboard to make learning the keys and chords easier. They simply would not come off from the cardboard backing no matter how hard I tried. The cardboard separates from itself with the stickers firmly adhered to it, so there is no backside of the sticker to stick to the keyboard. And they are not worth the shipping cost to return them. I'm going to my nearest office supply to buy some regular round stickers and label the keys myself.
